Nigerians troll Gov. Wike over son’s graduation from UK amidst ASUU strike

Most Nigerians on Twitter, Monday, trolled Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, over the graduation of his first son from a university in the United Kingdom (UK) amidst the lingering Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) strike action.

Hitting on the fact that academic activities in Nigerian public universities have been shut down for over five months now, Twitter users berated the nonchalant attitude of the federal government towards resolving the issue.

Recall that ASUU had on February 14, 2022, announced the commencement of industrial action following the failure of the government to meet some lingering demands of the union.

But the first son of Nyesom Wike, has just graduated with a second-class upper degree in law from the University of Exeter, United Kingdom.

While some people congratulated him, some people didn’t take it so well.
