Nollywood filmmaker found dead in his home

Nollywood filmmaker, Otu Njama, has reportedly died.

Late Njama was found dead in his home in First Unity Estate, Badore, Ajah, Lagos State on Tuesday night, August 9, according to reports.

The filmmaker, in his thirties was said to have died from blood pressure after visiting his doctor, who alerted him of his high blood pressure, Which was about 200.

His doctor had told him to rest after returning from his doctor to his bar in the area to see his staff.

Late Njama gave up the ghost after taking his meal, retired to his home and asked for no one to disturb him.

Hours later, his body was discovered in his home, as reported.

Njama’s death will be the latest in less than four days following the demise of another filmmaker in the industry, Biyi Bandele, who passed away on Sunday, August, 7, 2022 in Lagos.

Bandele, a prolific filmmaker, co-directed Netflix’s debut Nigerian original series Blood Sisters.

“I am heartbroken to share the sudden and unexpected death on Sunday 7th of August in Lagos of my father Biyi Bandele,” his daughter, Temi Bandele, wrote on Facebook.

The industry witnessed series of deaths of it’s members within a month.

Neptune Prime reports veteran actress Sola Awojobi Onayiga of Fuji House of Commotion passed on Monday morning, July 18.

Also, actress, Ada Ameh, famous for her role as ‘Emu’ in the television family drama series, The Johnson, died on Sunday, July 17, 2022 in Warri, Delta State.
