Harry Kane’s late equaliser denies Chelsea victory at Stamford Bridge

Harry Kane’s 96th minute equaliser denied Chelsea a second Premier League victory on Sunday evening at Stamford Bridge.

The hosts, drew the first blood in the 19th minute from Koulibaly giving the Blues the lead in the first half.

The high tempo match resumed with Tottenham finding a leveler from Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg’s strike passed through Edouard Mendy in 68 minutes.

Pressure pilled up on Chelsea after referee Anthony Taylor failed to penalise Rodrigo Bentancur for a challenge on Kai Havertz, this led the two coaches Thomas Tuchel and Antonio Conte in verbal confrontations thereby receiving yellow cards.

Chelsea regained the lead in the 77th minute when James found the back of the net after a pass Raheem Sterling making it 2-1.

The Blues who were almost cruising to victory were disappointed after Kane headed in the ball from Ivan Perisić’s corner. The match ended 2-2.
