UEFA: PSG crush Maccabi Haifa 7-2 as Real Madrid lose to RB Leipzig

The trio of Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappé and Neymar Jr. harvested goals for Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) leading to their 7-2 crushing of Israeli club side, Maccabi Haifa in the Group H encounter of the UEFA Champions League match on Tuesday.

Messi’s first goal 19th minute set the pace for Mbappé’s 32nd minute and six minutes later the Argentina international added another goal, but that came after the visitors reduced the tally in the 38th to make it 3-1.

The goal party continued for PSG ten minutes before half-time when Neymar registered his name on the score sheet.

The visitors pulled one back to make it 4-2. PSG stretched the goal tally when the visitors’ player, Sean Goldberg conceded an own goal in the 67th as another own goal by the visitor was caused by Abdoulaye Seck in the 84th minute to make it 7-2 for PSG.

With this, PSG is sharing 11 points apiece with Benfica while Juventus and Maccabi Haifa have three points each.

Elsewhere, the absence of Karim Benzema caused Real Madrid a terrible loss to Red Bull (RB) Leipzig in a game that 3-2.

Despite the loss for the Los Blancos they still maintained a narrow lead in Group F with ten (10) points as Leipzig are in second with nine.

Earlier in the day, Chelsea secured a vital three points away from Red Bull (RB) Salzburg as Mateo Kovačić and Kai Havertz were on goal for the Blues in the game which ended 2-1.

Chelsea are three points ahead as group leaders while AC Milan after trashing Dinamo Zagreb 4-0.
