Three (3) policemen have been killed by yet to be identified armed men on Rumuokoro Bridge, Obio-Akpor Local Government Area (LGA) in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital on Thursday, November 24.
In a message sent to Neptune Prime by a former serving member of Squadron 48pmf Ahoada Rivers state Command, the incident occurred at about 1500hrs (3:00pm).

The source identified the officers as Inspector Bello Sani, Inspector Nasiru Danlad from 52PMF, Shalawa Kano and inspector John Enekele.
Eye witness account has it that the hoodlums numbering about six in a green Sienna car suddenly opened fire on the policemen who were in their HILUX vehicle with registration number FST 422 BR colour black.
The corpses were evacuated to the University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital (UPTH) Choba where a medical doctor certified them dead and their remains have been deposited in the UPTH morgue.
According to the source, preliminary investigation has commenced and the area is also being closely monitored.
The state police command is yet to issue a statement as of the time of this report.
