NLC to embark on nationwide strike next week Wednesday
The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has directed public sector workers to commence an indefinite strike from next Wednesday, March 29, 2023.

The Congress also directed that affiliate unions should be on standby for picketing exercises across all branches of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) nationwide.
The directive followed the expiration of a one-week ultimatum by the Congress last week.
NLC had criticised the cash swap policy of the Federal Government and the persistent petrol scarcity across the country.
Recall on Friday, March 3, the Supreme Court in its final judgment ruled that the validity of N200, N500 and N1,000 notes should be extended to December 31, 2023.
Despite the ruling there is still insufficient cash in circulation as commercial and money deposit banks are still rationing both the affected old and new naira notes.
