Bola Tinubu, Kashim Shettima officially sworn in as president, vice president of Nigeria

Bola Tinubu and Kashim Shettima have been officially sworn in as the President and Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Chief Justice of the Federation, Olukayode Ariwoola, administered the oath of office to the President at 10:40 am and the Vice President in a ceremony at Eagle Square in Abuja.

Meanwhile, to ensure a hitch-free swearing-in ceremony, there was tight security on all roads leading to Eagle Square, the venue of the ceremony.

Apart from the fact that all the adjoining roads to Eagle Square are flooded with heavy security, there are also multiple blockades.

From the Wuse 2 axis of the Central Area, there are not less than five security spots, swarming with multiple security operatives, drawn from various arms, including the armed forces, police, men of the Department of State Service (DSS) and the Civil Defence.
