Neptune Prime reports that Nnaji made the declaration after the after the major stakeholders in the deal between the Federal Government and Ethiopian Airlines denied knowledge of the launch.
It was, however, revealed that the Ministry of Aviation had attempted to clarify the situation by claiming that Nigeria Air was merely unveiled and not officially launched, but the committee swiftly dismissed this explanation as an attempt to divert attention from the matter.
Details by the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA) revealed that the aircraft which was adorned with Nigerian colours was on a chartered flight to Nigeria which left committee members left stunned.
Also, other stakeholders involved in the aviation industry affirmed the possibility of painting a chartered flight in any desired colour and displaying any desired inscriptions.
The House Committee on Aviation has vowed to thoroughly investigate the circumstances surrounding the launch of the aircraft.
