Governor Buni Meets Tinubu: A call for intervention
The President and Commander-in-Chief of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR, granted audience to the Yobe State Governor, Honourable Mai Mala Buni, CON, at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
During the meeting, Governor Buni briefed President Tinubu on areas that urgently require federal intervention to enhance the livelihoods of the people in Yobe State.
He updated the President on the state government’s efforts towards recovery and stressed the need for sustainable support to improve the lives of the people, especially in terms of infrastructure.

Governor Buni emphasized, “The government and people of Yobe state would greatly appreciate the provision of more infrastructure to expedite the reconstruction, rehabilitation, and recovery process.”
In response, President Tinubu commended Governor Buni for the recovery efforts made by the state government.
He assured that the federal government would collaborate closely with Yobe State to enhance the quality of life for its citizens.
Honourable Mai Mala Buni CON, the current governor of Yobe State, was elected during the 2019 Nigeria general elections under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Prior to becoming governor, he served as the National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Since assuming office in 2019, he has been dedicatedly fulfilling his responsibilities as the governor of Yobe State.
