According to a fellow student, Dickson Anayochi, who spoke to journalists, Chigozirim was tragically struck by a stray bullet at Miracle Junction.
While expressing his grief and concern, the student underscored the need for improved security in the UNIZIK environment.
“This girl, Uche Jovita Chigozirim, a 100 level student of the faculty of Health Science, was killed yesterday (Thursday) evening by a stray bullet shot by suspected cultists at the popular Miracle Junction,” Anayochi shared.
“Please help us and let the world know the insecurity situation we are facing here in the UNIZIK environment, and the state government is not doing anything to improve the situation. It’s really sad,” he lamented.
Despite efforts to reach the spokesperson of the Anambra State Police Command for comment, there has been no success in establishing contact at press time.
