Mad man armed with knife kills 9 persons in Adamawa village
In a tragic incident that unfolded on Wednesday evening in the Libbo Ward of Kate-Gamji village, Sheleng Local Government Area in Adamawa State, a mentally ill man, identified as Ali Denham, went on a killing spree, claiming the lives of at least nine people.
The motive behind this senseless act remains unknown to the community.
Reports indicate that Denham, armed with a knife, targeted his victims indiscriminately, including an elderly woman and man. The incident sent shockwaves throughout the village, prompting angry youths to intervene.

They surrounded Denham, disarmed him, and unfortunately, resorted to violence, ultimately leading to his death.
The community came together to mourn and bury the deceased victims on Thursday evening, creating an atmosphere of profound sadness and grief. Meanwhile, the family members of the suspect have fled the community, likely overwhelmed by the tragic events that transpired.
When News Point Nigeria contacted the Adamawa Police Spokesperson, SP Suleiman Yahaya-Nguroje, he confirmed the incident. Yahaya-Nguroje assured the public that the police are actively investigating the matter and promised to provide updates as soon as more information becomes available.
