President Tinubu announces new media appointments

President Bola Tinubu has made new appointments, adding five members to his presidential media advisory team.

The announcement was made by the president’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Chief Ajuri Ngelale on October 9, 2023.

He stated that Mr. Fela Durotoye has been appointed Senior Special Assistant to the President for National Values and Social Justice, and Mr. Fredrick Nwabufo has been appointed Senior Special Assistant to the President for Public Engagement.

Also appointed is Mrs. Linda Nwabuwa Akhigbe as Senior Special Assistant to the President for Strategic Communications, Mr. Aliyu Audu as Special Assistant to the President for Public Affairs, and Mr. Francis Adah Abah as Personal Assistant to the President for Special Duties.

Mrs. Linda Nwabuwa Akhigbe has also been seconded to serve as the Communications Adviser to the President of the ECOWAS Commission.

In his statement, President Tinubu urged the new appointees, who will serve in his Media and Publicity Directorate, to uphold the highest standards of decorum and decency in their interactions with all members of the public.

He emphasized that their primary goal is to renew the hope of Nigerians in a restructured economy and unified society that caters sufficiently to the needs of all, regardless of any differences.
