Tinubu mourns victims of Plateau school building collapse

President Bola Tinubu has expressed deep sorrow over the tragic collapse of a two-storey school building in Busa Buji, Jos North Local Government Area, Plateau State, which resulted in 22 deaths and 132 injuries.

In a statement released by his spokesman, Ajuri Ngelale, President Tinubu described the incident as a “huge loss to the nation” and conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the victims’ families and the people of Plateau State.

“This unfortunate incident is a devastating development – too excruciating to imagine,” Ngelale quoted the President.

Tinubu also praised the swift response of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), and other rescue teams involved in the operation.

Tinubu assured the people of Plateau State of his unwavering support during this challenging time, underscoring his commitment to aid in the aftermath of this disaster.
