10-year-old boy in Lagos fatally strangles friend during football match
A devastating incident occurred in the Ejigbo area of Lagos State as a 10-year-old boy named Israel tragically strangled his friend, Ezekiel, during a football match at Powerline.
According to reports, the two boys were playing when an argument erupted, resulting in Israel grabbing Ezekiel’s neck and choking him until he lost consciousness and stopped breathing. The heart-wrenching incident took place on Friday, shocking the community.
Upon receiving the distressing complaint, the Ejigbo Division contacted the authorities, and Ezekiel was rushed to the hospital, where medical staff confirmed his passing. Detectives visited the scene, and the body was taken to the General Hospital in Isolo for further examination.

Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the tragic event, stating that the body had been moved to the mortuary for a post-mortem examination.
