Rashford, Henderson snubbed as Southgate names England’s Euro 2024 squad
Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford and former Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson were among the high-profile players left out of England’s provisional 33-man squad for Euro 2024, announced by manager Gareth Southgate on Tuesday.
Rashford’s exclusion comes after a disappointing season, while Henderson’s injury issues have limited his playing time. Chelsea skipper Reece James, who has only recently returned from injury, was also omitted from the squad.
The squad will be trimmed to 26 players before the tournament in Germany begins. Here is the provisional squad:
