Joshua to face Usyk, Fury in upcoming fights
Anthony Joshua could potentially face off against Tyson Fury later this year, as per his promoter Eddie Hearn.
Fury, known as the Gypsy King, is currently recovering from the first loss of his professional career after being defeated by Oleksandr Usyk over the weekend, dashing his hopes of becoming the undisputed heavyweight champion with Usyk now holding all the belts.
Although Fury is entitled to a rematch scheduled for October, it would require him to resume training in August after a brief break.
While the 35-year-old expressed the need for some time off, Hearn speculates that a showdown between the two British fighters could finally happen, or a potential third bout with Usyk might be on the horizon.

Hearn shared with Matchroom’s YouTube channel, “I don’t think Tyson Fury is gonna be over the moon with five or six weeks off, but that’s the obligation, there’s a lot of money.
Who knows? If Usyk’s injured and can’t make the date, could we see Fury face Joshua – with the winner taking on Usyk? My answer is, ‘Yes, please.’ It ultimately comes down to His Excellency [Turki Al-Sheikh] and the fighters to make the decisions.
While they have a contract for a rematch, they must be physically able to meet that date, and that’s the next challenge to overcome.”
Joshua’s last fight was in March when he defeated Francis Ngannou, but having lost to Andy Ruiz Jr and Usyk in 2019, he has been awaiting a chance to reclaim his belts.
There has been ongoing speculation about a potential clash between Joshua and Fury in the past, but it never materialised, with each camp pointing fingers at the other for the lack of progress.
Hearn later mentioned on TalkSport that Fury’s timeframes were unrealistic but affirmed that Joshua would never back away from a fight.
He asserted, “Huge fights like this don’t come together in just two weeks. It takes time, especially when both fighters have significant commercial deals with different broadcasters.
While this year Fury’s focus likely remains on seeking revenge against Usyk, believing he won the fight in Saudi Arabia, there may be exciting developments on the horizon for boxing fans as the heavyweight division continues to captivate audiences worldwide.
