Notably, on January 5th, a group of armed individuals launched an attack on a community in the Bwari area council of Abuja, where they abducted numerous people, including a family of six sisters.

Tragically, the abductors killed one of the sisters, Nabeeha, on Sunday, supposedly as a warning to the family for their failure to pay the ransom of N60 million.

Similarly a lawyer’s 13-year-old daughter was killed by the criminals, who later increased ransom to N100m for her mother and siblings still in captivity.
