How 15 men shot Anambra community leader at home – Eyewitness

Following the gruesome murder of the President-General of Umuoji Community in Anambra State, Silas Onyima, which sent shockwaves and caused distress in the community, an eyewitness has revealed that a group of approximately 15 hoodlums were responsible for the heinous crime.

According to reports, the criminals stormed the residence of the newly elected community leader on Friday evening, and mercilessly shot him to death.

The sad event left the entire community in a state of fear, confusion and mourning.

The eyewitness revealed, “The late President-General had recently been elected to lead our community and had overseen an election process.

“Tragically, he was viciously attacked by masked intruders at his own home.

In response to the horrifying news, the state police spokesman, DSP Tochukwu Ikenga, confirmed that law enforcement personnel have been dispatched to the area to investigate the crime.

“We are aware of the unfortunate incident and have deployed our officers to the scene,” Ikenga said.

“The victim’s body has been retrieved and taken to the morgue with the support of family members.

“Our team is collaborating with eyewitnesses and community members to identify and bring the perpetrators to justice as our investigation progresses.”.
