Yobe gov’t announces cash prizes for 2024 research, innovation challenge
Governor Mai Mala Buni, through the office of the Honourary Special Adviser on Science Research and Innovation, has announced the 2024 Yobe State Research and Innovation Challenge for indigenes.
First place winner will receive N500,000, second place N300,000, and third winner gets N200,000 reward.
The competition will avail participants an avenue to showcase their innovative ideas and research, contributing towards a brighter future for Yobe under two Award Categories; Top Research Paper and Brilliant Innovations.
The eligible contestants must be a Yobe indigene and be a current resident of Yobe State.
The challenge has no age limit.
Specific criteria for the Top Research Paper include a published impactful paper in a reputable journal from 2022 onwards.
While criteria for Brilliant Innovations should have an original STEM innovation, demonstrate ownership of the innovation and the ability to operate innovation.
Application deadline is 31st May 2024.
