House help confesses to murder of Justice Ajumogobia’s daughter

One of the domestic workers of Aribemchukwu, the slain daughter of Justice Rita Ofili-Ajumogobia, has confessed to her involvement in the murder.

According to police sources, the confession came during an interrogation following the discovery of Aribemchukwu’s lifeless body outside her Parkview Estate residence in Ikoyi, Lagos State.

Reports indicate that Aribemchukwu, also known as Chuchu, was murdered on Tuesday night, with her body found the following morning.

Three of her domestic employees, including the house help, a security guard, and a driver, were subsequently arrested.

Police sources revealed that the house help admitted to the crime, stating, “We do am, na we do am.”

The suspects reportedly killed Aribemchukwu in her room and then dragged her body outside to create the impression she was murdered at the gate. Bloodstains found in the house corroborated this account.

The suspects also attempted to clean the crime scene but left some spots. Following the murder, they packed the deceased’s valuables. All three domestic workers were employed just a week before the incident.

The state Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed that investigations are ongoing and promised to provide updates as new information becomes available.
