The Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) has issued a communique following an emergency National Executive Council meeting to address Police invitation of it’s President, Joe Ajaero, for questioning over alleged terrorism financing.

The communique signed by NLC deputy president, Comrade Ado Sani Minjibir, expressed disappointment that no apology was rendered over earlier invasion of it’s national headquarter, rather the police has embarked on intimidation, harassment and witch-hunting of the leadership of the Nigerian Labour Congress.

The communique further read, “We shall honour the invitation as a responsible labour centre committed to the rule of law and due process, the NLC shall honour the invitation extended to it’s president by the Nigerian Police but will demand for extension of time given the nature of the invitation.
