Gov. Mohammed promises smooth transition during 3-day Fidda’u Prayers for late Emir of Ningi (pictures)

Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, has promised to appoint a credible person from the Ningi Royal Family in line with the wishes of Late Emir of Ningi Alhaji Yunusa Muhammad Danyaya.
The governor said this on Tuesday when Islamic scholars offered a three day fiddau prayer for the repose of the soul of Late Emir of Ningi Alhaji Yunusa Mohammed Danyaya.
Late Emir Danyaya died on Sunday at the Expert Alliance Hospital in Kano.
He returned to Nigeria last Thursday after he went for a routine medical check up in Saudi Arabia.
Governor Mohammed, emirs and prominent personalities from within and outside Bauchi State attended the special prayer session to mark three days after the demise of the late emir.
The prayer session, led by the Chief Imam of Bauchi Imam Bala Baban Inna, prayed that Allah the Almighty forgives the shortcomings of the late emir.
Speaking at the occasion, Governor Mohammed, who extolled the virtues of the deceased, promised that a credible person from the royal family as requested by the late emir will ascend the throne.

He said the late emir’s contributions to the state and his commitment to peace and development will forever be remembered and prayed to Allah to reward all his services to Islam, humanity and to forgive his shortcomings.
Speaking on behalf of the state traditional institutions, the Emir of Bauchi, Alhaji Rilwanu Sulaimanu Adamu, also prayed for Allah to grant eternal rest to the deceased.
The Emir of Bauchi represented the state’s traditional institutions to offer prayers for the deceased’s eternal rest.
