APC wins all 16 LGAs, 193 wards in Kwara’s LG election
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has emerged victorious in the Kwara State local government elections, winning all sixteen chairmanship positions and one hundred and ninety-three councilorship seats across the state.
The Kwara State Independent Electoral Commission (KWSIEC), through its Chairman, Baba Okanla, announced the results early Sunday morning at the Commission’s headquarters in Ilorin. The APC’s clean sweep marked a significant political statement, with all participating Local Government Areas (LGAs) and wards witnessing the party’s dominance.
“The APC has emerged victorious in all sixteen chairmanship positions and across all one hundred and ninety-three councilorship seats. The elections were conducted smoothly, with no reports of major incidents. We are pleased to say that this was a peaceful and successful process,” Okanla stated.

The Kwara State local government elections saw participation from five political parties: APC, PDP, APM, SDP, and Accord. Despite this, the APC outshone its rivals, securing overwhelming victories in all areas. Below are the results from key Local Government Areas:

The elections, according to Okanla, were largely peaceful, and security agencies were praised for their professionalism in maintaining order throughout the process.
