Harry Kane prognosis ‘positive’ despite ankle injury, say Bayern Munich
Bayern Munich has provided a positive prognosis for striker Harry Kane following his ankle injury sustained during their 1-1 draw against Bayer Leverkusen on September 28. Despite initial concerns, the club stated that medical examinations showed encouraging signs ahead of their upcoming Champions League match against Aston Villa on October 2.
Kane, who has a history of ankle issues, limped off the pitch late in the game after a collision with Leverkusen’s Amine Adli. Bayern Munich’s sporting director, Max Eberl, remarked, “When Harry leaves the field, it means something because he’s pretty tough. We hope nothing is broken.”

The 31-year-old England captain has been in exceptional form this season, scoring 10 goals in just seven matches across all competitions. His contributions included four goals in Bayern’s 9-2 thrashing of Dinamo Zagreb in their Champions League opener earlier this month.
In the Bundesliga clash, Robert Andrich gave Leverkusen the lead in the 31st minute, but Bayern’s Aleksandar Pavlovic leveled with a spectacular long-range strike. Despite Bayern’s dominance, hitting the woodwork twice, Leverkusen held on for a draw.
While disappointed with the result, Bayern coach Vincent Kompany emphasized the strong performance: “We were clearly the better team, and our counter-pressing was effective. We just need to keep going.”
Leverkusen coach Xabi Alonso praised his team’s discipline, as they held the reigning champions to a well-earned point.
