Fire destroys district head’s house in Bauchi

A devastating fire outbreak has destroyed the house of the District Head of Lere, Alhaji Sulaiman Muhammad, in the Gwallaga area of Bauchi metropolis. According to Sa’in Tafawa Balewa, Mallam Yunusa Ado, the fire was likely caused by an electrical fault.
“We believe the fire was caused by an electrical fault today, Monday, 4/8/2025, when the District’s head was in his Palace in Zwall,” Yunusa said. The fire destroyed many valuables and important properties in the house.

Thankfully, the fire was contained, and no life was lost or injuries reported. Yunusa attributed the containment of the fire to the timely intervention of the State Fire Brigade officials and the help of neighbors, who assisted in moving a car from the garage.
“We thanked the almighty Allah for his intervention… We pray to God to restore the best of what was lost and to protect the future,” Yunusa added.
