Indian authorities arrest 3 Nigerian women for drug trafficking
Indian authorities have dismantled a suspected international drug syndicate allegedly run by three Nigerian women, arresting them in Delhi and seizing quantities of MDMA and cocaine from their possession.
According to reports by the Times of India on Monday, the women — identified only as Precious, Gift, and Joy — were apprehended near Bakhtawar Chowk following the earlier arrest of an Indian national, Adarsh Sahu, who was allegedly part of the same drug network.
Police disclosed that Sahu, a resident of Badaun district in Uttar Pradesh, was first caught with 26 grams of MDMA near a pharmacy in Sector 39. His interrogation reportedly led investigators to the Nigerian women, who were based in Delhi.
A police officer said, “We received credible information that Adarsh Sahu was involved in selling drugs. Acting on the tip-off, we arrested him and recovered commercial quantities of MDMA from his possession.”

Further raids led to the arrest of Precious and Gift, and later Joy, at a rented apartment in Khanpur Extension, where police recovered an additional 22 grams of white MDMA, 3 grams of brown MDMA, 9 grams of cocaine, and drug packaging materials, including a digital scale and several mobile phones.
The three women are currently in police custody as investigations continue to trace other members of the cross-border drug trafficking network.
This development comes weeks after Thai authorities arrested another Nigerian national for drug trafficking in Bangkok, heightening concerns over the rising involvement of foreign nationals, particularly Nigerians, in drug-related crimes across Asia.
