The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has announced plans for a nationwide protest on December 17, 2025, in response to rising insecurity and the increasing number of school abductions across the country.
The labour body stated that the demonstration aims to draw attention to the government’s perceived inaction in protecting citizens, particularly children, from kidnappers and violent criminals. NLC warned that persistent insecurity is crippling education, livelihoods, and social stability.
