Saudi Arabia grants final 7-day window for pilgrims’ data upload
Saudi Arabian authorities have reopened the online portal for pilgrims’ data capture for a strictly limited period of seven days, providing a last opportunity for countries to finalise pending submissions ahead of the 2026 Hajj.
The temporary reopening was approved to allow national Hajj administrations and licensed operators conclude the upload of outstanding information for already registered pilgrims following the earlier shutdown of the system.
The portal, managed through the Nusuk Masar platform, remains a mandatory requirement for participation in the pilgrimage, as it houses critical bio-data, travel and service arrangements needed by Saudi authorities for planning, visa processing and accommodation logistics.

Stakeholders have been urged to treat the development with urgency. Officials emphasised that the window is designed solely to clear backlogs and will not accommodate fresh registrations or new allocations.
Hajj managers across participating countries are expected to work round the clock to ensure that affected pilgrims are properly documented within the deadline. Any failure to complete the process during the period may lead to forfeiture of slots and possible exclusion from the 2026 exercise.
Intending pilgrims have therefore been advised to immediately contact their state or national Hajj boards, as well as accredited travel agencies, to verify that their records have been successfully uploaded and validated on the platform.
The move follows diplomatic and administrative engagements between the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah and several Hajj-participating nations that requested additional time to resolve technical and procedural delays.
Saudi authorities, however, maintained that the extension should not be seen as a shift from established timelines. They reiterated their commitment to strict scheduling to guarantee smooth coordination, safety management and efficient service delivery for millions expected at the holy sites.

With preparations for the pilgrimage gathering momentum, the seven-day reopening is widely viewed as the final opportunity for compliance before the system is permanently closed for the season.
