More Boko Haram members killed in Army ambush in Borno

The Nigerian Army said its troops have neutralised some Boko Haram members and injured many others at Bama Local Government.
The Troops of 151 Battalion, 21 Brigade Nigerian Army on operation Lafiya Dole laid a successful ambush on a suspected Boko Haram terrorists crossing point at Bocost along Ngurosoye -Bama road, Borno State was carried out.
A statement signed by the Director, Army Public Relations, Brigadier General Sani Kukasheka Usman disclosed that the Troops neutralized a large number of the Boko Haram terrorists, while other terrorists sustained gun shot wounds.
According to him, the troops recovered 1 AK 47 rifle with the registration number 1029, 1 AK 47 magazine, 60 rounds of 7.62mm Special, 3 Bicycles,  4 Empty Jerricans, a Cutlass and the cash sum of Five Thousand and Six Hundred Naira (N5, 600.00k).
    
The Boko Haram crisis , which is still ongoing in parts of North East Nigeria started formally in 2009, since then, according to UN recent data, not less than 20,000 people have been killed in various activities spearheaded by the group.
