Before we bid goodbye to the month of September, Neptune Prime remembers the death of beloved Dr. Fateemah Tumsah, whose sudden death occurred on Thursday the 17th of September 2015 in a ghastly motor accident in Kaduna state.
Until her death, Fateemah – as she was fondly called – worked with Pathfinder International where she was involved in several reproductive and sexual health projects and programmes.
Fateemah joined Pathfinder in September 2012 after successfully completing her Master’s degree programme at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, where she studied for an MSc in Reproductive and Sexual Health.
She was passionate about her work and made immense contributions to improve the lives of women and children in Northern Nigeria.
She dedicated her life to improving the reproductive health of women in northern Nigeria.
Fateemah had a loving and kind heart and was eager to help anyone in need. She had an amazing sense of humor; there was never a dull or sad moment with her.
She was also involved in several charitable events including supporting organisations that worked to improve the living conditions of people displaced by the Boko Haram insurgency in the northeast.
Rest on Fateemah. Till we meet to part no more. May Allah grant you Aljannatu Firdaus (Heaven). Amin.
