The Nigerian custom service has advised the general public to desist from distribution and buying of expired seasoning cube with the trademark “Ninido Cube” by some marketers across the country.
The product believed to have been imported from a neighbouring country, Niger Republic has an expiration date of 28th June 2019 and recently spotted at the central market in Gumel local government, Jigawa state.
“This product illegally smuggled into the country will only adversely affect the economy and pose great health challenge to our citizens, please be warned and let’s protect ourselves, this is for your information and compliance,” the service said in a statement.
The commission, however, has put in place some necessary measures to track and arrest smugglers for possible persecution.
