Hundreds of former PDP supporters from Fune Local Government Area of Yobe State have defected to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and were formally received into the party by the Acting Chairman, APC National Caretaker Committee and Executive Governor of Yobe State, Mai Mala Buni.

The ex-lawmaker who represented the constituency at the State Assembly, Abdu Zoto who led the defectors said, PDP is embroiled in crisis hence the determination and collective decision of the defectors to jettison PDP for APC.
Governor Mai Mala Buni who formally welcomed them into the fold of APC assured them of equal treatment in the party and advised them to work for the success of APC in the upcoming local government election in Yobe State slated for 5th December.
