A tragic incident occurred in Inikpi community of Benue state as a married man set himself and his side chic ablaze in Inikpi community of Benue state.
The married man Nicodemus Nomyange suspected to be in his forties (40) in Benue State has set himself and side chick, Shininenge Pam, ablaze in a room.
According to reports, Pam and Nicodemus have been dating for some time and Nicodemus finally wanted to take Pam as a second wife in addition to his first wife and kids.
Pam who seems not to be interested in a second wife turned down the proposal, telling Mr Nicodemus she wants to marry a single man, not a married man.
Mr Nicodemus who was hurt visited Pam in her apartment, locked both of them inside and set the place ablaze.
Neighbours tried to save the situation but the man died on the spot while the lady later died on the way to the hospital.
Their corpses have been taken to the Federal Medical Center Makurdi and deposited by officers of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) who were at the scene.
