A lawmaker representing Katsina North (Daura Zone) in the Senate, Senator Mustapha Bukar, is dead.
A Civil Engineer by training, Senator Bukar died at the age of 64 on Wednesday morning after a brief illness. His death was confirmed by Alhaji Umar Bukar, his elder brother.
Neptune Prime recalls that his death has brought to three the number of National Assembly members who have died within one month.
Senator Ali Wakili, 58, a retired Comptroller of Customs, representing Bauchi South Senatorial District died on the 14th of last month after he slumped at his home.
And last week, a member, representing Lokoja/Kogi Federal constituency in the House of Representatives, died at the age of 58, also.
Umar Buba Jibril, a three time member of the House of Representatives was, until his death, the House Deputy Majority Leader.
