The Presidential Committee on the North East Initiative (PCNI) hosted the University of Maiduguri convocation committee delegates at the PCNI office on the 3rd of April 2018. The Committee on Contact and Fund Raising for the 23rd and 24th Combined Convocation which was set up to raise funds for the event was led by the Chairman, Professor Dilli Dogo and Professor Hauwa Biu who is also a member of the PCNI.
The Vice Chairman of the PCNI, Alhaji Tijjani Tumsah while receiving the Committee and speaking on behalf of the Chairman, TY Danjuma, welcomed the delegates and assured them of PCNI’s continued support at advancing the cause of the university and curbing the North East crisis which he said is the core mandate of the organisation
Speaking earlier, the leader of the delegation Prof Dogo applauded the PCNI for its numerous contributions to the growth and advancement of the university and the entire North East region. He however added that the aim of the committee’s visit is to further strengthen the relationship between PCNI and the University.
The PCNI had partnered with the University of Maiduguri for the just concluded Training of primary school Teachers on teaching techniques, conflict and disaster risk reduction and psycho-social support.
