Residents of Gumsa Community, Geidam Local Government Area of Yobe State were thrown into pandemonium when some gunmen suspected to be Boko Haram Insurgents yesterday evening stormed the town on motorcycles and raided GSM charging shops in the area.

A resident of the area who spoke with Daily Independent on the condition of anonymity revealed that “some gunmen suspected to be Boko Haram Insurgents around 6:00pm came to our town on motorcycles and ransacked the GSM charging shops in the town, forcefully carted away Phones on charger and shot one fisherman (teenager) and ran left back to the bush.
When contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Yobe Police Command, Damaturu ASP Dungus Abdulkarim said that they’re working on verifying the report.
Recall that earlier this week, the terrorist sect attacked Geidam, carting away foodstuffs and drugs.
