The Operatives of Amotekun, a SouthWest security outfit on Monday, June 21, 2021, rescued five passengers from a commercial bus driver suspected to be a kidnapper.
The passengers were rescued along the Guru Maharaj area, Lagos-Ibadan Road in Oluyole LGA of Oyo State.
According to reports, the passengers boarded a commercial bus going to Warri, Delta State at Ojota Motor Park in Lagos State when the driver diverted the vehicle to Ibadan, claiming to give money to one vulcaniser at the area.
Suddenly, three of the passengers fell asleep but the remaining two who were still awake started struggling the steering with the driver while shouting out for help to alert the oncoming patrol team of Amotekun Corps.
The driver was intercepted by the security operatives and has been handed over to Idi Ayunre Police Division HQ for further action.
