Beautiful Kannywood actress, Sadiya Kabala was wrongly reported on several front pages of National Dailies claiming that she killed her husband three years ago, but the true story was the case of Maryam Sanda who allegedly stabbed her husband to death, and the scandal has nothing to do with Sadiya Kabala.
Recently she cried out that some alleged hired assassins are after her life when a strong rumour broke out within the Kannywood circle that Kano State Governor Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje is dating her. This has left Sadiya very devastated and she had to tender an open apology to Professor Hafsat Ganduje, the wife of Kano State Governor and at the same time, denied the wicked rumour.

Neptune Prime’s correspondent, Saleh Inuwa met her in Kano and had a brief interview with her about her career, challenges, the so-called Ganduje issue and the Maryam Sanda scandal.
EXCERPTS OF THE INTERVIEW
Neptune Prime: Since you featured in the music video alongside other male and female colleagues of yours from Kannywood campaigning for President Buhari in 2019 for re-election and Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje respectively, we learnt that you came under serious risk of losing your life, what happened?
Sadiya: My brother, you know me very well. I have been in Kannywood for some time and I mind my business. Since I featured in the film Korarriya, as the wayward daughter of Al-Amin Buhari, I became a sought after artist, it has also generated lots of enmities for me.
NP: Three years ago, you were wrongly reported, your pictures were wrongly used by some National Dailies on their front pages as Maryam Sanda who allegedly killed her husband, how did you overcome that shock?
Sadiya: Many newspapers reported the story on their front pages about me wrongly by putting me on their front page as Maryam Sanda who allegedly killed her husband. You later traced me and did a follow up to correct the story but honestly, it scandalized me beyond explanation.
NP: You are also being trailed by hired assassins over allegations that you are dating Kano State Governor?
Sadiya: You know we are celebrities and are subject to all forms of blackmail. I was on social media for quite some time denying the allegation and apologizing to Professor Hafsat Abdullahi Umar Ganduje and his Excellency, Umar Ganduje over this unfounded rumour. Yes, I was part of some Kannywood actors and actresses that composed a song campaigning for President Buhari and Ganduje, but I was surprised when a rumour started spreading that the Governor is dating me or that I am interested in him. Please use this opportunity and correct the impression over this love scandal, there is nothing between me and the hardworking Governor of Kano State, if there is anything at all, it’s the fact that I am respecting him because he is an achiever.
