Again, bandits invade community in Plateau, set families ablaze killing 35

No fewer than 35 persons have been reportedly killed in Yelwa Zangam Community, Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State.

Barely two weeks after 25 travellers were killed in Jos North local government area of Plateau State, bandits suspected to be Fulani militias, on Wednesday, killed over 30 persons including children in a midnight raid.

It was reported that the invaders had disabled the bridge leading to the Anaguta community, thereby preventing any access to help before launching their attacks.

According to a report by the Nigerian Tribune, an eyewitness to the scene who wants to remain anonymous said several families were burnt alive in their homes while others who sustained injuries are being treated in the hospital.

Their dead bodies have been deposited at the Plateau specialist hospital, while those who sustained injuries have been taken to Our Lady of Apostle Hospital Jos.

When contacted, the Plateau State Police Command, Ubah Ogaba confirmed the incident and promised to give details later.
