We’ll block all major roads in Kano State by May 2023 – Senator Hanga
Story from Saleh INUWA, Kano
Senator Rufa’i Hanga, an elder statesman in Kano, in a press statement on Sunday said two months to May 2023, they are going to monitor those going out of Kano through all the major roads, linking Kano with neighbouring states including Aminu Kano International Airport. This, he said, is in order to stop politicians that stole public money from running away.

The opinion leader, who was also the chairman of former CPC in Kano State, added that they have put together a committee of professionals including retired patriotic ex-servicemen and lovers of Kano State that will document names of corrupt politicians in the state. In 2023, they will not allow them to run away after handing over, they will be arrested and prosecuted, he added.
The former senator representing Kano Central and former associates of President Muhammadu Buhari, specifically mentioned Kano First lady, professor Hafsat Umar Ganduje for land grabbing and racketeering. According to him, she is busy selling the most available lands in Kano for people to erect filling stations or business premises. He revealed that they are compiling documents to that effect to drag her to EFCC.
It could be recalled that recently Abdulaziz, Ganduje’s first son, has dragged his mother, the first lady, to EFCC, accusing her of selling one plot of land to more than two businessmen after she had already been paid by the first buyer in the US dollars.
