Customs to auction 15,325 litres of seized PMS at N10,000 per 25 litres

The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has revealed plans to auction a total of 15,325 litres of seized Petroleum Motor Spirit (PMS) at a rate of N10,000 for every 25 litres. This auction is aimed at addressing the transportation challenges that many Nigerians are facing during the festive season, as fuel shortages continue to impact many parts of the country.

ACG Hussein Ejibunu, the National Coordinator of Operation Whirlwind, made the announcement during a press briefing held at the Customs Training College in Ikeja. The briefing took place over the weekend and was later shared on the NCS’ official Facebook page on Tuesday.

Ejibunu explained that the auction would help reduce the difficulties that Nigerians are experiencing in the face of rising fuel prices and transportation costs, especially as the holiday season typically drives up demand for fuel across the nation.
