The Chairman of the Nigeria Labour Congress(NLC) in Adamawa State, Comrade Emmanuel Fashe, disclosed this to newsmen after the organized Labour’s meeting on Wednesday, confirmed that the money meant for the settlement of the arrears has been released.
The Labour Union Boss confirmed that the release of funds was to settle the consequential adjustment arrears due to State workers on grade level 07 to 17.
According to him, the Organized Labour arrears will be paid to the affected workers as from January to May this year.
Comrade Fashe added that the section of the workers who are saddled with the responsibility to pay workers are already on duty post to amend the arrears.
Fashe, explained that with the agreement signed between the government and labour congress, the arrears will be paid from January to May.
He called on workers in the state to remain calm, and blamed the outbreak of Covid-19 as the root cause of the delay in the payment of the arrears.
