AFCON: Nigeria advances to round of 16 with 1-0 victory against Guinea-Bissau
Nigeria’s Super Eagles have progressed to the last 16 of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) after beating Guinea-Bissau 1-0 in the last group match.
Bissau’s Sangante put the ball in his own net after a good cross from Nigeria’s Simon Moses for the only goal of the match.

In the other group match, the host, Cote D’Ivoire suffered a humiliating 4-0 defeat in the hand of Equatorial Guinea, who topped the group with seven point same as the Eagles but with a better goal difference.
