The new school is now ‘Government Secondary School’ as it is mixed with both boys and girls.

Recall that the attack which took place on Monday, April 14, 2014, had left about 276 school girls, mostly Christians aged from 16 to 18 abducted and taken into Sambisa forest, after the destruction of properties within the school premises.
Prior to the raid, the school had been closed for four weeks due to deteriorating security conditions, but the girls were in attendance in order to take final exams in physics.
Buhari who was represented by the Minister of Women Affairs, Mrs Pauline Tallen, said, she was in the state to bring a goodwill message of President Buhari to the people of Borno, especially those in Chibok.
