They continued with their perfection in front of the cheering home crowd when Salah double the lead in the 22nd minute ending his goal drought.

United who were without the likes of Fred and Cristiano Ronaldo who was excused following the death of his son were rather ridiculed as they conceded two more goals in the 68th and 85th from Sadio Mane and Salah respectively.

United has suffered the second consecutive defeat from Liverpool this season, the first was in October where they conceded five goals without a reply at Old Trafford.

Liverpool goes top of the league with 76 points while Manchester City trails with 74 points.

Meanwhile, United are back to sixth position sharing points (54) with Arsenal who are also in race for top four including Tottenham Hotspur in fourth position with 57 points.
