Ahmadu Bello University graduating class celebrates unity in diversity with spectacular cultural display
In a remarkable display of unity and diversity, the graduating class of Vocational and Technical Education at Ahmadu Bello University recently organized a groundbreaking Cultural Display event.

The celebration marked the culmination of six years of studying together and showcased the rich tapestry of cultures within the student body. Highlighting the event was the vibrant performance by various cultural troupes, each representing different ethnic groups from across Nigeria.
The Hausa cultural troupe took centre stage with Abubakar Hassan Gimba as their King, Halima Bello as their Queen, and Zaharadeen Kabir Salis as the Sarkin Malamai. Their performance was a captivating celebration of the Hausa heritage.
However, the true essence of the event lay in its inclusivity, as students from diverse backgrounds proudly presented their unique cultures.

The Yoruba, Igbo, Kanuri, Nupe, Gade, Idoma, Igala, and many more cultures were on full display, weaving a vivid tapestry of Nigeria’s cultural richness. Their presence underscored the importance of cultural diversity within academia and the wider community. Dr. Zailani, the Head Agriculture Section, commended the graduating class for their initiative in organizing such an inclusive event. She stated, “This Cultural Display reflects the essence of education – fostering unity, understanding, and appreciation for our diverse nation. It’s a testament to the potential for positive change that education can bring.”
