Akpabio, Yahaya Bello plotted my recall, tried to kill me – Senator Natasha
Suspended Kogi Central Senator, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, has accused the President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, and former Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, of conspiring to kill her.
Addressing a crowd of supporters during her homecoming on Tuesday, Akpoti-Uduaghan claimed that although the plot was kept secret, the Nigerian Police have been informed.
She revealed that Akpabio initiated her recall after allegedly offering funds to Bello, with the plan escalating to a more sinister level.
She said on March 13th, Akpabio reportedly called Kogi Governor Ododo, urging him to begin the recall process.
However, Ododo reportedly opposed the move, stating it would be impossible due to her support among the people.
Dissatisfied, Akpabio allegedly contacted Bello and instructed him to push forward with the recall and, shockingly, to ensure her death.
The plot was reportedly designed to make her killing appear as though it was a local act, rather than orchestrated by powerful figures.
Akpoti-Uduaghan did not make the allegation public earlier, but confirmed she has formally notified the Inspector General of Police about the threats.
