At least two confirmed dead persons appointed board members

At least two confirmed dead men have found themselves into the list of board members appointed by President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday.
One of them, as revealed on the facebook wall of Mr Nathaniel Ikyur, a veteran journalist and public relations consultant from Benue, is “a Benue-born catholic Priest, Rev Fr Christopher Utov”.

an undisclosed illness, was the founder and proprietor of FIDEI Polytechnic, Gboko, and the first privately owned polytechnic in the North.
Reverend Father Christopher Utov was appointed by Mr President as a member of the Nigeria Institute of Social and Economic Research.
The other, also as revealed on the facebook wall of Mr Sunday Are, former Editor of Sunday Vanguard, who later became an Executive Assistant to Governors Ibori and Dr Emma Uduaghan, is Senator Francis Okpozo.
A Second Republic senator from Benin, Chief Spanner Francis Okpozo, who was appointed as Chairman of the Nigeria Press Council, died on December 26, 2016 in Benin City, the Edo State capital after a brief illness at the age of 81.

President Muhammadu Buhari had condoled with the government and people of Delta state over the death of the All Peoples Congress (APC) stalwart at that time.
The Vanguard newspaper of December 28, 2016 had this story:
“In a statement by the presidential spokesman, Mr Femi Adesina on Wednesday, the President also commiserated with ‘the family and friends of the late senator, whose championing of social justice in the Niger Delta, during his long history of service to the people, endeared him to many.”
