Automobile Crash: 12 die, 6 injured along Kaduna–Abuja road

On Monday, August 30, 2021, twelve people died in an auto crash along the Kaduna–Abuja road.

Kaduna Sector Commander, Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Hafiz Mohammed who confirmed the death on Tuesday told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) that the accident involved a lone Toyota Hiace carrying 18 passengers.

He said: “The crash resulted in the injury of six other occupants of the bus.

“A tyre burst was identified as the cause. The vehicle was on its way to Zaria in Kaduna, he added.

The FRSC regularly cautions drivers against over-speeding and long-distance trips with expired/unsound tyres.
