Bandits have kidnapped 14 people at Ungwan Matari within the Sabon Tasha, Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
The bandits were said to have attacked the community which is adjoining Gbagyi villa towards Romi River at about 11 pm on Wednesday night.
Upon their arrival, the bandits started shooting sporadically, scaring villagers and causing chaos. It was said the hoodlums broke fences and windows and were able to gain access into the houses of the residents they kidnapped.
Confirming the incident to newsmen, the immediate past Chairman of Chikun local government area, Samaila Leeman, said a total of 14 members of his community were abducted by the kidnappers and taken away to an unknown destination. Among the victims kidnapped were a landlord and some tenants.
This attack is coming barely three days after over 121 students of Bethel Baptist School also in Chikun local government area of Kaduna state were abducted by bandits.
